Q Do I receive a commission or referral fee for
referring clients to Riders Plus?
A. Riders Plus is not currently offering a referral
fee. Our approach is to make this an easy and simple referral process
for you and your staff by advising your motorcycle clients of a
cost effective and professional alternative. We are not requesting
you to complete any applications or take time away from your day.
All you have to do is provide your client with our phone number
or web address and we will do the rest.
Q Why not use another broker who might offer me
commission or a referral fee?
A. If you can find one, they may request you complete
an application and submit it. We try to make it easy for you and
your staff: all you have to do is give them our number.
You also may run the risk of them cross selling
your clients. At Riders Plus we only write motorcycle insurance.
Q I referred my client to you but Riders Plus could
not do anything for my them?
A. Riders Plus, like you, has underwriting criteria
we adhere to. We also run MVRs and Autoplus on each sales opportunity
and the results may be outside our underwriting criteria. We will
always explain the reason we could not insure them and then request
they contact you for further direction.
Q Will Riders Plus try to sell other insurance products
to my referred clients?
A. No, we only offer motorcycle insurance and related
products such as roadside assistance. We do not offer other P&C
insurance products nor do we plan to. Our niche is our strength
and we are very focused on it.
Q I am able to offer motorcycle insurance, why is
Riders Plus bothering me with this?
A. Riders Plus receives several calls each motorcycle
season from brokers requesting us to assist them with placing insurance
for their motorcycle clients. Many brokers do not wish to write
this line of business or do not feel comfortable with it. Riders
Plus is a professional alternative for you.
We understand and respect the fact that your brokerage
may offer motorcycle coverage. We are simply offering an alternative
to brokers.
Q My client called Riders Plus but has not heard
back from you?
A. During the peak season (March to June)
it is sometimes difficult to field every call. However, our goal
is return calls within 24 hours. We have a very dedicated sales
staff and they do their best to return every call within this timeframe.
Outside of the peak period it would be very rare that we do not
return a call within 24 hours of receiving it.
