BAD Ride 14 – Sunday, May 29, 2011

Posted in: Events and News | by Riders Plus | May 04, 2011

SUMMARY:

Hard to believe that it’s already the fourteenth instalment of the Baddest and Best of Ontario motorcycle rides. Bikers Against Distress, raising badly needed funds to support the Distress Centres of Toronto, unite to put on one of the most memorable annual charity rides in the province. Many riders make this an annual event, and if you have never been on this ride you need to check it out and find out just why it is so incredibly popular.

Spread the word!

The B.A.D. Ride’s signature formula is a winning one, guaranteed to make a charitable motorcycle rider out of you. Every year, we change up the roads on our award-winning signed and unescorted scenic route, provide great food, live entertainment and lots of opportunity to “see and do” or just “hang out” with fellow bikers. Come with your friends or as a club or come alone and meet some future friends. Regardless, by late afternoon on Sunday May 29th, you’ll be heading home remembering why you love this sport so much and why being a little b.a.d. does a whole lotta good!

Register Now!

And, pre-registration has never been easier. We have multiple options available, including the convenient on-line, mail-in and face-to-face opportunities for registering to make a difference! Sometimes the question gets asked about why a B.A.D. Rider should pre-register. Why not just wait until the day of the Ride? The easiest answer is that it’s a free and easy way to double your draw tickets for the Grand Prize. Who wouldn’t want to win the 2011 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob — a bike that oozes character and attitude. On Ride day, you can also enjoy the convenience of having your loot bag and tickets waiting, saving you from having to line up at the registration desks. Fundraising is much easier too, with the on-line option, enabling us to thank you with special incentive gifts and extra draw tickets (check the website or brochure for more details). It’s a great way to let people know you are a rebel witha cause! 100% of the money you raise goes directly to support life-sustaining programs and services.

In partnership with our sponsor Hero Certified Burgers, we’re pleased to announce an in-person pre-registration opportunity on Sunday, May 15th, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. While you’re out riding, drop in to their store at 9625 Yonge St., at Weldrick (between 16th Ave. and Major Mackenzie). Not only do you get to double your tickets, but you will also receive a free 6 oz. hamburger and drink when you register for the Ride. Sounds like a pretty good deal!

Join Us!

This year, the B.A.D. Ride Kick-Off Party has moved to Dave & Buster’s at the Interchange Way (SE corner of Highways 400 and 7). What a great venue to host a party in celebration of our Ride. If you haven’t registered by then, it’s final chance to earn extra draw tickets. Every rider who hands in their form that evening will receive one more ticket. If you have already registered, join in the fun anyways. Dave & Buster’s will be providing us with their deservedly famous Philly steak sandwiches and access to their pool tables and motorcycle simulators. In our reserved parking area, we’ll be holding our first Show’ N Shine — why not get those bikes cleaned up so they can strut their stuff on Sunday. Of course, there’ll also be live music and much more. We’ll be in the Show Room (on the right, to the back door as you enter) f rom 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. See you there!

Ride Safe!
