Motorcycle Charity Rides - Riders Helping Others

  • The Ride For Sight – With events across Canada, this biggest of all charity motorcycle rides celebrates its 39th year in 2017. The Central Ontario Ride for Sight event takes place June 16-17, 2017, so mark your calendar!
  • Ride for Dad – There’s a Ride for Dad Event in an Ontario city near you. The remarkable success of this ride shows how important the need to fight prostate cancer has become. Come on out to join the fight and show your support.
  • The Highway for Heroes Ride – The 9th Annual Edition of this unique ride, in Canada’s 150th Anniversary Year, promises to be more than memorable. This ride, organized by an enthusiastic group, is one that many riders go back for every year. Watch their website for details.
  • The BAD Ride – A bit of a different route, scenic and un-escorted. The 20th edition of the BAD Ride on May 28, 2017 promises to deliver a great day for participants and a significant amount of raised funds for the Distress Centre of Toronto.
  • Ride Against Hunger – Starts at South Common Mall in Mississauga (Erin Mills Parkway and The Collegeway) on Saturday, August 19, 2017. Great cause, very well organized, close to home for many of you who are reading this, so mark it on your calendar and keep a close eye on the Ride Against Hunger website.
  • Ride for SickKids – Beginning at Mackie Harley Davidson, this 175 km police-escorted charity ride takes in some beautiful scenery along Lake Scugog and ends in Port Perry Palmer Park where lunch is provided by Shoeless Joe’s. Very well organized, for an excellent local cause, with great prizes, this one is a must on your ride calendar (Sunday, August 13, 2017).   • The Ride for Dog Guides is a national fundraising event specially catering to motorcyclists. The event takes place in communities across the country (June 17, 2017 in Oakville, Ontario) with all proceeds supporting the six Dog Guide programs at Lions Foundation of Canada. Although each Ride for Dog Guides varies in activities, most follow a scenic pre-arranged route and offer refreshments, incentives, prizes, and a poker run component.
  • National Service Dogs Ride on Sunday, July 9, 2017 is an excellent opportunity to take a leisurely 180 km ride presented by our friends the 1st Canadian Army Veterans Gulf-Kuwait Unit (CAV). The ride starts and ends at the Waterloo Knights of Columbus (145 Dearborn Place, Waterloo, ON). Pictures with puppies, a complimentary BBQ lunch, and many prizes, all for a great cause.   • Correctional Officers Ride on Sunday, August 27, 2017, starts at 190 Kingston Road E in Ajax at 9 am. JNF in cooperation with Hard Chargers Ontario put this ride together to support the families of fallen Correctional Officers.
  • Ride for Sickkids The 9th Annual Ride for Sickkids on Sunday, August 13, 2017 is a fantastic ride that starts at Mackie Harley Davidson and goes along Lake Scugog, with lots of bells and whistles including a chance to win a 2017 Harley Davidson! Details on the Ride for Sickkids website.
  • The 7th Annual Eagle Ride (Poker Run) for At Risk Youth in Hamilton, Ontario (through Liberty for Youth) takes place on Saturday, August 26, 2017 starting and ending at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Mount Hope, Ontario. Registration is onsite from 8 am to 9:30 am, ride starts at 10 am.
